The TrainerBase conference

TrainerBase is pleased to be able to invite most of the speaker for this years conference from the raft of experts trainers, facilitators and coaches who are members of the trade association. Other speakers are invited from partner organisations. All are offering their time free of charge in order to keep the conference as cost effective as possible. We thank all our speakers for their contribution to the event.


Gillian Jones is a co-Managing Director of Emerge Development Consultancy, which she founded in 1997. Gillian specialises in coaching, organisational development, action learning, and facilitation. She is a regular public speaker – last year she was invited to present at the CIPD conference in Harrogate on the subject of Coaching Culture. Gillian has spent the last five years focusing on organisational strategy and changes, facilitating board repair and in particular partnering with organisations to create a coaching culture. Her in depth cultural experience has been obtained through delivering in most European cities, New York, Washington and Dubai. Gillian has co-authored two books in the last year, How to Create a Coaching Culture, and 50 Top Tools for Coaches being published by Kogan Page this Autumn. With her co-author she also recorded a coaching DVD of 10 Top Tools for Coaches. She also contributed to Carol Wilson’s book on Performance Coaching, that was endorsed by Sir Richard Branson.
 


Alan Heap co-founded Purple Monster Training in 1994. He has designed and delivered a number of wide ranging training and development solutions for many diverse clients including PwC, BT, McDonalds, Orchid Group, Lakeland Ltd, Kingston Hospital, Emcor, Prudential, Ernst and Young Durham and Darlington PCT and created and delivered a comprehensive programme of cultural change and leadership for BP worldwide. Alan has been using drama skills in business for over fifteen years as an actor, story teller and workshop leader and combines his unique talent for communication with a genuine passion for connecting and engaging with audiences big or small.

Robin Fritz’s experiential training tools have been gleaned from twenty years’ experience as a professional actor, writer and performer in Radio, Television, Film and Theatre. Robin’s association with Purple Monster goes back 11 years. He has created, designed and delivered fully interactive workshops and conferences for many diverse clients including BP, RBS, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, Sony Ericsson, Disney, Help the Aged, Mercedes Benz, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Walsall Hospitals NHS Trust.
 


Christine Bell has been a training manager in the private and public sectors and now runs her own training and facilitation company, Bellthompson. Christine has a knack of searching out useful resources and websites to enhance the learning experiences for her clients. She is enthusiastic about the potential offered to learning by Web 2.0.

Adam Greasley is a technology specialist and will share his knowledge of the e-world and show how you, as a trainer can harness e-technology to enhance your offering and make the learning experience better and more rounded for your delegates. Adam will unravel this seemingly complex and obtuse subject and together with Christine will show how you practical tools to make it work for you.

Christine and Adam both work on e-technology projects for Resource Strategic Change Facilitators and will be joined virtually by Tony Mann for part of the session.
 


Lloyd Sewell has considerable insight into public sector tendering and his online training programme “Tendering for Contracts Training” has been endorsed by SFEDI. He has both UK and European business experience, expertise in developing and providing training and advice to individuals and small businesses, counselling for new business start-up.


Gary Gorman is a highly experienced freelance trainer and business coach, specialising in selling skills and negotiation. Having launched his own training company, Paradigm Training Ltd, in 2005 he helps all types of businesses to attract more customers (through the effective use of social media) and to increase sales, often by up to 40%. This is achieved either through highly participative training workshops or one-to-one business coaching. Gary has gained a merit award in The Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring from the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.

Mike Morrison is a respected and innovative freelance people developer and executive coach. Mike specialises in organisational development through holistic diagnostics, change and leadership development. Launching RapidBI in 2004, the site has become a regular first pager on Google for many leadership and management development. Providing leading content for clients and providers like the CIPD and TrainingZone, Mike is a regular exponent of social media for the marketing of his business and the development of people. Mike is Fellow of the CIPD and BILD.
